Meals on Wheels Fraser Community has been using gisMOW2 since it was introduced in 2012. The program is very effective in allowing ease of navigation through all the different areas needed to ensure that our clients continue to receive the meals they want.
As an example of the flow on effect of the program, if a client is not able to tolerate certain ingredients, e.g. gluten, dairy, egg, etc, it is a simple process to go into that client’s ‘Diet 2’ ingredient restrictions and tag that restriction to ensure that the client does not receive a meal with that ingredient. Provided that all other manual inputs have been followed, gisMOW2 works in the background to initialize a ‘Special Meal label’ to alert the kitchen to the ingredient restrictions for any particular client.
With the introduction of Home Care Packages (and shortly Support at Home) by the government, gisMOW2 has created a completely new and upgraded version of the program to fulfil the new requirements.
gisMOW2 has a very comprehensive Help manual, and email/phone assistance is available early and late to help navigate and rectify any issues that arise.
We greatly appreciate all the effort that everyone has made to ensure gisMOW2 keeps moving forward.
